Echoes Above The Treeline

It’s 1983. You live in the small isolated town of Birch Hollow, Ontario, which is hours away from any major city. Large forests cover most of the outskirts of town for miles. It’s simple living, and everyone knows each other by name. Most of the townsfolk work for the local logging company, it’s the only steady work in the area since the mines shut down back in the 1940s.

In town you will find the general store, public library, the church, school, Carl’s Diner, and Dr. Cooper's office, which is also his house.

Something strange has been going on over the last few weeks. You've noticed unidentifiable objects hovering in the skies late at night while you’re relaxing in your shed. Sometimes you see lights. You’ve heard strange sounds on your radio while talking to some of the locals. Sometimes you lose a few hours and can’t remember how you got where you are.

Tonight is different from those nights. The town seems quiet, too quiet. You always notice when a small town is too quiet. Something is happening. In the distance you can hear the air raid siren begin its haunting howl. You go into your shed, lock the door, grab your journal, turn on your radio, and start to listen.

What you need to play:

● A standard 52 card deck (no jokers)

● 1 d4 dice

● Pencil

● Paper
